The graphic choices in this project sought to bring the feeling of strangeness, of anguish, typical of what the pandemic state raises within ourselves. The use of the secondary colors – purple and green – is in line with this purpose. Throughout the pages, inkblots based on Rorschach’s pictorial test were reproduced, with the intention of bringing up a psychological or quasi-psychiatric aspect of the imagery narrative.
Within the theme, the intention was to taint the art, leaving it smudgy and transmiting a feeling of discomfort, restlessness, mismatch. In short, the central theme of this graphic project, which ties all its features, turns to the image of that person, inside a dead tree, in a pose that reminds us of Rodin’s Thinker, mirroring us: our isolation, our confinement, our anguish.
